Equal Opportunities Policy

Bramley Parish Theatre Players believes in giving equal opportunities to all. The group is open to all members of the community who wish to help with the production and staging of pantomimes and other events as organised by the committee. No person should receive less favourable treatment on the basis of, nor suffer disadvantage by reason of:

          age;

          class;

          ethnic origin, nationality (or statelessness) or race;

          gender;

          marital or sexual status;

          mental or physical ability;

          political or religious belief.    

 

Acknowledging that paedophilia is a bar to anyone working alongside children or being left near them, and that each adult should be regarded as a 'fit and proper person' for the particular task or role, no adult volunteering their services should receive less favourable treatment on the basis of, nor suffer disadvantage by reason of:

          class;

          ethnic origin, nationality (or statelessness) or race;

          gender;

          marital or sexual status;

          mental or physical ability;

          political or religious belief.

 

Special Positions such as First Aider, Child Protection etc. will be given only to competent persons who have satisfactorily completed approved training. Officials will be elected at the Annual General Meeting.

 

On Stage Roles in productions will be decided by audition. No one will be denied a role by reason of:

 

          class;

          ethnic origin, nationality (or statelessness) or race;

          marital or sexual status;

          mental or physical ability;

          political or religious belief.
