Sunday School Pantomime Jan 1928 re: December 1927

As these few lines are being written our series of performances are only halfway completed, and so we are not able to estimate how successful the enterprise has been. On Boxing-night the usual packed house was missing - Perhaps the two facts that there was a good selection of nights for our show, and that many Parties had to be moved from Xmas Day, being Sunday this year, accounts for this unexpected happening. However,Tuesday night brought a full house and a grand audience, making our spirits rise by leaps and bounds, and the show went merrily on. We are hoping for a continuance of this "perfection" from the hall side of the curtain. Although not desirous of making any apologies for the show, we would like it to be known that owing to the Bazaar, with which all our members were connected, we were not able to tackle our "Panto" in earnest until the end of November, so perhaps any short-comings will be forgiven.

One noticeable omission from our show is the chorus of "Tiny Tots," always a successful feature. There was absolutely no time for training this branch of our talent (we originally intended them being in) and as they were "on view" at the Bazaar opening, no doubt, we will be "let off " this time.

To all our friends who have helped us with patronage and in many other ways, not only with our annual Pantomime, but with all the work we have undertaken during the past year — the hardest year's work in the memories of the great majority of our teachers — we extend our sincere thanks and appreciation, and wish them all the very best of health and happiness in the New Year.
